Milestone Reached, Over 1,000 Attend the 17th Annual AALRR Employment Law Conference

CERRITOS, CALIF. —The law firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo ("AALRR") reports that over 1,000 guests attended its 17th Annual Employment Law Conference on March 24, 2016.  The Employment Law Conference continues to be the most comprehensive employment law conference in Southern California through its offering of seminars on key legal developments, emerging issues, and economic trends for human resources professionals and other management professionals whose work is impacted by employment law issues.

The morning general session featured Dr. James Doti, President of Chapman University, who provided an informative overview of economic factors most likely to influence California employers in the coming year.  One of the more popular sessions was “HR 101,” a three-part series that featured practical approaches to hiring and employee management.  The afternoon general session featured a lively insightful dialogue among several firm partners who relayed “tales from the trenches,” as illustrations of areas of concern for California employers.  Each of the twelve training sessions was conducted by attorneys who focus exclusively on matters of interest to California employers.

Private Labor & Employment Practice Group Chair and conference committee member, Paul Fleck, who co-chaired the 2016 conference with Partners Susan Steward and Amber Solano, credits the event committee’s efforts to improve the event year after year. “Our goal is that every conference attendee comes away with valuable insight and practical information to use in the workplace.  The comprehensive materials from each of the training sessions act as a useful reference guide throughout the year,” offered Fleck.  As a follow-up to the conference, AALRR will offer a 12-part encore webinar series beginning May 25th so participants can listen to sessions they were unable to attend in-person.
