AALRR Announces 2024 Equity and Non-Equity Partners

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to announce that three Partners have been named Equity Partners, and seven attorneys have been promoted to Non-Equity Partner.

New Equity Partners

Laura Izon represents and guides a broad constituency of public and private sector clients with their labor and employment needs.  Ms. Izon has worked in public sector law for over two decades and is widely recognized in the state for her outstanding work, particularly in the field of collective bargaining.

Michael O’Connor represents businesses and employers throughout the region in class action defense, regulatory compliance, collective actions, commercial proceedings, and claims ranging from alleged wrongful termination to employee mobility-related disputes. 

Todd Robbins represents public school districts in the areas of education law, certificated and classified employee discipline, certificated layoffs, harassment and discrimination complaints, and contract administration.

New Non-Equity Partners

John Bakhit provides advice and counsel to public entities and represents them in collective bargaining, disciplinary matters, auditing/updating policies and procedures, conducting internal investigations, training, and other labor and employment matters.

Neil Katsuyama represents clients in all areas of business litigation. As a former intern and extern for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Department of Enforcement, he has transitioned that experience into defending brokerage firms and financial advisors in securities litigation and FINRA matters. 

Josh Lange provides advice and counsel and litigation representation for private employers in an array of labor and employment matters, with an emphasis on complex wage and hour class actions, harassment, discrimination and retaliation claims. 

Sarah Lustig advises public entities in matters ranging from employee discipline, administrative proceedings, unfair practice charges, and litigation involving state and federal discrimination and harassment claims.

Anna Miller represents public school districts and California community college districts in all areas of general education law; labor relations; employment matters such as discrimination, dismissal and harassment; student issues such as fraudulent receipt of federally issued financial aid, grade disputes, student discipline and harassment charges; and First Amendment rights. She is active in the firm’s Title IX group, conducting Title IX investigations and giving presentations on Title IX issues.

Beverly Ozowara represents educational agencies throughout Southern California in all matters, from providing general advice and counsel to representing agencies in court.

Scott Sachs represents private and governmental entities in complex litigation in the areas of data privacy and security issues, construction and environmental law.
