Governor Gavin Newsom recently signed two measures into law that will reform California’s Private Attorneys General Act, known as PAGA.  One of the most significant aspects of the new reforms include a potential reduction of penalties if an employer has proactively taken “reasonable steps” to comply with the Labor Code.
