Three AALRR Attorneys Named to Prestigious "Best Lawyers in America" List

Terry Tao, Partner at the firm’s Cerritos office, has appeared on the Best Lawyers list for his work in Government Contracts for three years in a row. As both an attorney and a licensed architect, Mr. Tao offers a unique skillset to clients and has often applied a legal eye to plans and specifications to determine the likely result of a particular dispute and to guide it as it unfolds. He represents school districts, business and property owners, and public entities, including the Los Angeles World airports and the University of California.
Mary Salamone, Partner at the firm’s Irvine office, was recognized by the publication for her superior work in the field of Construction Litigation. Ms. Salamone has dedicated her 30 year career exclusively to the area of construction law, and has acquired an in-depth knowledge regarding all aspects of construction projects and disputes. She has represented both owners and contractors in connection with iconic works of improvements such as the John Wayne Airport, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Planet Hollywood (formerly Aladdin Hotel & Casino), and University of Phoenix Stadium.
John James, Of Counsel at AALRR’s Cerritos office, has appeared on the Best Lawyers every year since 2006. In 2012, he was recognized by the organization as its Lawyer of the Year in Tax Law. This designation honors Mr. James’ outstanding achievements in the field, where he is known for his expertise in negotiating, structuring, and documenting transactions in various industries. Other areas of concentration include tax-deferred transactions, tax audits, and controversies.
