Pleasanton Attorney Tapped for Key Appointment Representing Business in California
PLEASANTON, Calif. — Robert Fried, a labor and employment partner in the Pleasanton law office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, has been appointed to the California Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities (CCEPD) announced by the Secretary of the California Health and Human Services Agency Diana S. Dooley earlier this month.
The committee was recently established within the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) with support from the Health and Human Services Agency. As a member of the panel, Fried will work with business leadership throughout the state as well as advocates for the disabled and agency and legislative leadership who sit on the Committee to develop and support the mission set out by California’s Legislature in creating the Committee - a comprehensive strategy to bring individuals with disabilities into gainful employment at a rate close to that of the general population.
“We are thrilled that Robert’s experience as management counsel for California employers has earned him this distinguished appointment from the Secretary of Health and Human Services,” says AALRR Managing Partner James C. Romo.
“As the grandson and son of California workers each of whom could not have supported our family without the thoughtful accommodation of their employers and co-workers, it is a personal honor to play a role in representing California business in connection with the employment of disabled Californians.” says Fried.
