AALRR Strengthens Corporate Transactional Practice with Addition of Eddy Carvajal

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to announce Eduardo “Eddy” Carvajal has joined the firm as its newest partner. Mr. Carvajal brings a wealth of transactional experience to AALRR’s Business and Tax Team and works primarily out of the firm’s Cerritos office.

Mr. Carvajal is a trusted advisor who provides clients with practical, business-minded and proactive advice to achieve their goals.  His deal experience encompasses a wide range of strategic business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint venture and joint development projects, debt and equity finance transactions and other commercial arrangements.  Mr. Carvajal represents entrepreneur, small business, private equity fund and publicly-listed company clients operating in various industries in connection with due diligence assessments, entity rationalization, capital raising and the purchase and sale of businesses. In addition, he has assisted numerous clients with corporate governance and compliance matters, including preparation of corporate records, observance of corporate and regulatory formalities, adoption of policies and procedures, and internal investigations.

Before joining AALRR, Mr. Carvajal was a foreign legal consultant in the Rio de Janeiro office of an international law firm where, in addition to advising clients on cross-border M&A transactions, financings and compliance matters, he managed operations of the firm’s two Brazilian subsidiaries.

Mr. Carvajal earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.  He regularly presents on issues related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, choice of legal entity and related business matters.  When away from the office, he loves to travel and to spend time with his wife and two young boys.
