Cerritos Attorney Tapped to Serve on Executive Committee of California State Bar Section

CERRITOS, Calif. —The law firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) reports that Thomas A. Lenz, a partner in the Cerritos office and chair of the Traditional Labor Law Department, has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Section for the State Bar of California.

There are 16 sections of the Bar that are comprised of attorneys and associates who share an area of interest and assist members to maintain expertise in their various fields of law, expand professional contacts, and serve the profession, the public and the legal system.

“Tom Lenz is nationally known and respected in the field of labor and employment law. He brings solid experience to this panel,” according to Robert L. Wenzel, partner and chair of AALRR’s Employment and Labor Practice Group.

Lenz began his three-year term on the committee at the November 1, 2012 annual meeting of the Labor and Employment Section at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach which featured an educational conference among various other programs. Lenz participated as a panelist to discuss developments at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and in labor relations law.

“This is a rare opportunity and privilege to serve on a committee that has a state-wide influence. I am looking forward to  my leadership role in with this organization, which has so much impact on our profession,” said Lenz. 

Prior to joining AALRR in 1992, Lenz practiced law with the NLRB in Los Angeles. He has also been named to the “Top 100 Labor Attorneys in the United States” by the Labor Relations Institute, Inc.
