AALRR Construction Practice, Partners Receive Prestigious Chambers USA Ranking

08.10.2012

Cerritos, Calif. – In keeping with the firm's reputation for excellence, Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to announce that Chambers USA has recognized its construction law practice for the fifth year in a row.

In its 2012 rankings, assembled based on numerous, in-depth interviews with lawyers and clients, U.K.-based Chambers and Partners also named AALRR partners Michael J. Baker and Mary A. Salamone as leaders in construction law. AALRR was one of just 17 California construction law firms to make the publication's coveted list for 2012.

In the publication, Chambers calls AALRR's construction practice “highly respected” with “a particularly strong reputation for undertaking labor-related concerns.” It also highlights the firm's role as special counsel to a large Southern California city in connection with the public construction projects and its work with an international design firm on litigation arising from the construction of a medical facility.

Baker and Salamone, based in the Cerritos and Irvine offices, have both been recognized in previous Chambers USA rankings and each has more than 20 years of experience in construction law. Chambers noted Baker's “broad-ranging experience,” and said he won plaudits for his work with construction claims and design professionals. Salamone was called “highly regarded” for her work with large, complex public works projects and her reputation representing contractors and subcontractors.

“This prestigious recognition of our construction law practice on a national scale is a testament to our broad expertise,” says AALRR Managing Partner James C. Romo.
