AALRR Named One of the Top Firms in the Nation for Female Attorneys
Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (“AALRR”) is pleased to announce its recognition in Law360’s 2019 Glass Ceiling Report as one of the top ten firms in the nation for female attorneys. Over 300 firms nationwide submitted their firm’s demographic data to Law360, and the results recognized AALRR as the sixth best firm of its size for employing and supporting women.
“This ranking underscores the firm’s continual efforts to support women at every level of their careers,” commented Managing Partner Mark Palin. “From our recruiting practices to our internal women’s initiative, to our robust mentoring program, we take pride in supporting our female attorneys and helping them advance their careers and thrive .”
AALRR’s demographic data for women attorneys far surpassed the national averages. While female attorneys at law firms around the country make up just 36% of the team, AALRR’s female attorneys make up 43% of our team. Nationally, female non-partners make up 45% of the attorney teams of law firms. At AALRR, 52% of our non-partners are female. The firm also employs 8% more female partners than the national average, with 33% of our women attorneys holding that title. Nationally, the number clocks in at 24.8%.
While these numbers are heartening, the firm continues to look for ways to recruit talented female attorneys and retain them as they grow into future leaders of AALRR.
