AALRR Continues its Reign as one of the Nation’s Best Firms for Minority Attorneys
Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is thrilled to announce its recognition as the number one firm of its size in the nation for minority equity partners, and the eighth best firm for minority attorneys in general, in Law360’s annual Diversity Snapshot. This is the second year in a row the firm has been named the top firm for minority equity partners—an honor that further solidifies AALRR’s standing as a nationwide leader in diversity and inclusion efforts.
Surveying over 300 law firms across the country, including over 80% of the top 200 largest firms, Law360’s Diversity Snapshot offers well-researched insights into the diversity and representation efforts of the legal world. According to the survey, minorities make up more than 30% of all law school students in the country—and yet they comprise just 15.8% of the roster at the average U.S. firm, and only 8.2% of the equity partner ranks.
Having 36% of its attorneys identifying as minorities, AALRR more than doubles the national average—and with 28% of equity partners identifying as such, the firm more than triples it. And, while other law firms have largely flat lined over the last four years in terms of representational growth, AALRR continues to beat its own numbers year over year—in 2016, for instance, minorities comprised 25% of all equity partners in the firm and 34% of all attorneys.
