AALRR Attorney Thomas Lenz Discusses Labor and Employment Issues on “Your Legal Rights” Radio Show

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo Senior Partner Thomas Lenz appeared on KALW-FM San Francisco's “Your Legal Rights” radio show on September 21st. The show, which was broadcast by other public radio stations, is available at KALW.org and as a free podcast at the iTunes Store.

Lenz appeared on the show with two other labor and employment attorneys who are members of the California State Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section Executive Committee. Lenz currently serves as Executive Committee Secretary. On October 2nd, he will serve as Vice Chair.

During the first half of the hour-long radio show, the attorneys answered radio host Chuck Finney’s questions about legal distinctions between independent contractors and employees as they pertain to Uber and Lyft drivers. During the second half of the show, the attorneys answered callers’ legal questions concerning union representation, driverless cars, insurance coverage, independent contractors in general, and other issues.
