AALRR Welcomes Of Counsel Randall Parent to the Firm

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to welcome Randall (Randy) Parent as of counsel in the firm’s Facilities, Construction, and Property practice group. Mr. Parent joins AALRR from the City and County of San Francisco, where he was a Deputy City Attorney handling public works project construction and public contracting law. He also served as the lead construction attorney for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, and provided legal counsel for San Francisco International Airport, the Municipal Transportation Agency, and the City Administrator. Randy also served as the Executive Director and CEO for the California Alumni Association at UC Berkeley, and he built the award-winning band program at James Logan High School in Union City during his six years as the director of bands and fine arts department chair and six years as the New Haven Unified School District’s Coordinator of the Arts and Athletics.

In total, Mr. Parent has more than 30 years of experience representing public and private clients in all aspects of construction law and public contracting law including matters such as procurements of construction contractors and design professionals for public works projects utilizing the full range of project delivery methods, drafting construction contract documents, complicated sole source negotiations, responding to bid protests, claims defense and resolution, and mediations, arbitrations and litigation. Randy also has significant experience handling labor & employment and student matters, providing general counsel services, and advising on governance issues for community college districts and non-profit organizations.
