2024 Education Law Art Contest
Five talented high school students woke up to some exciting news this week, as Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) announced the winners of its sixth annual High School Art Contest! Held in conjunction with the firm’s Education Law Conference, the contest invited 11th and 12th grade students from public schools all across California to submit a piece of original artwork that creatively captured the theme of this year’s conference: The Power of Bold Leadership.
The art submitted by the students joyfully captured what The Power of Bold Leadership means to them. While the works themselves varied, the themes students chose to depict—from collaboration and teamwork to acting as leaders in their classrooms and demonstrating excitement to learn—were unanimously inspiring.
As a leader in education law, AALRR believes in giving back to the districts and students its attorneys serve daily—and its annual art contest is one way of doing so. The five award winners will each receive a $500 check, and their schools will receive $250 to go toward the purchase of art supplies. There was a strong turnout from Northern and Southern California school districts; the winners for this year’s contest came from Irvine Unified School District, Temple City Unified School District, and Patterson Joint Unified School District.
