NLRB 31st Annual Labor & Employment Law Conference ~ NLRB Update
This year marks the 31st Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference presented by Region 21 and Region 31 of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in conjunction with the Orange County Labor and Employment Relations Association (OC LERA), and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). The conference will provide practical information on current labor and employment law issues and legislation affecting the workplace.
Thomas Lenz will provide the management side of the NLRB Update during Workshop IV. The NLRB has received significant attention over case decisions and regulations during the past year. Cases on issues including concerted activity, confidentiality rules, workplace investigations, social media, bargaining duties, information requests, and union security all warrant attention by unions, employees, and employers.
Anthony De Marco will provide the management side of the Ask the Arbitrators: How to Deal with Complex Issues in Labor Arbitration during the Plenary Session. The Labor and Management Advocates will argue both the procedural and substantive issues in two discharge cases.
