ACHRO 2012 Fall Training Institute ~ Academic Employment: Best Practices

This session will address basic issues relating to the hiring of faculty, including rules relating to minimum qualifications and hiring criteria. We will progress to a discussion of the rules relating to probationary status, including evaluation and non-reelection. We will then address in more general terms, rules relating to part-time temporary and other temporary faculty. This session will conclude with a discussion of the general rules governing the employment of academic administrators.
