Session 1: Tips to Comply with California’s New Workplace Violence Standard

SB 553 now requires almost every employer in California to create a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan which requires evaluating and correcting workplace violence hazards, training employees and supervisors on workplace violence matters, creating and maintaining a violent incident log, and maintaining records of all training and violent workplace incidents.

Session 2: Addressing the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan at the Bargaining Table

With the July 1 deadline for districts to implement their WVPP, this session is dedicated to a lively discussion on bargainable issues related to the WVPP and tips from our expert bargainers on WVPP impacts and effects bargaining.

At the conclusion of the series, participants will have access to session recordings for a limited time to catch up on a session missed for review.
