Whether you are a new supervisor/dean/administrator aspiring to develop your leadership skills, or a seasoned supervisor/dean/administrator looking for new tips and techniques to implement to streamline your leadership processes, this series has topics that are very relevant to your role working in a higher education agency.  Complete seven sessions and receive an AALRR Educational Leadership Certificate of Completion.

Advancement of Principles of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

The Leadership Series is designed to increase the capacity of participants to engage with staff in a manner that embraces and advances of principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. Amongst other things, participants will:

• Learn to utilize protocols designed to promote fairness, equal treatment, and equal opportunity, and which eliminate bias
• Enhance necessary leadership skills such as communication, conflict resolution, and team building in a manner that reflects the flexibility necessary to build and preserve a diverse workforce
• Learn techniques designed to embed the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion into the culture of the workplace
• Learn leadership methods designed to enhance the level of trust between employees in the workplace, and between employees and supervisors/deans/administrators through improvement of interpersonal, personal, and organizational practices
