A Spectrum of Change: Regulations, Leaves & Vaccines Oh My!

An employer’s ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances is the cornerstone to a successful operation – and you all have certainly been put to the test since March of 2020. New laws and regulations; leave expansions/administration and the current pandemic challenges often opens the door for employer missteps. Employers eager to get back to normal may mandate or incentivize certain back-to-work protocols to facilitate transitions without understanding the downstream consequences.

With the expansion of the CFRA and COVID-19 legislation (which appears to be the gift that keeps on giving), employers face continued leave administration challenges, including increased opportunities for mischief. Employers must also be aware of the potential implications of mandatory versus voluntary vaccination programs under the ADA, FEHA, Cal/OSHA, and workers’ compensation laws.  Join this session with COVID-19 experts who have been advising on these issues since day one of the pandemic.
