Overview
Sarah Mojarro represents California school districts, community college districts, and county offices of education in labor and employment law and in general education matters. Her practice includes impartial and thorough workplace investigations and education-related litigation. She focuses on discrimination and harassment claims, defense of EEOC/CRD charges, leaves of absence issues, employee termination and discipline, grievances, workplace investigations, litigation, and workplace training.
Previously, Ms. Mojarro worked as a general liability and toxic tort litigation attorney at another firm. She also served as a legal research assistant for the San Francisco Superior Court.
During law school, Ms. Mojarro competed in the Saul Lefkowitz National Moot Court Competition, International Academy of Dispute Resolution Championship Tournament and International Chamber of Commerce Bucerius Mediation Competition. Additionally, she served as the senior technical editor for Hastings International & Comparative Law Review and Board Member for the Hastings Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Team.
Ms. Mojarro is dedicated to serving her community. She is part of the Hastings Pro Bono Society and has volunteered for several organizations, including Homeless Legal Services, Tenant's Together and LevelBar, a non-profit dedicated to removing the barriers facing low-income students in legal education. Ms. Mojarro currently serves on the Steering Committee for Dress for Success San Francisco.
