Overview

Sahar Hashemian represents school districts and county offices of education in a wide range of special education law and student disability matters. Ms. Hashemian focuses her practice on disability accommodation, student discipline, due process claims, Section 504 complaints, and discrimination claims.

Prior to joining AALRR, Ms. Hashemian worked as a Legal Intern for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, Department of Labor, and Alameda County Public Defender. While in law school, she competed on the Alternative Dispute Resolution team in the American Bar Association Mediation Competition, participated in the mediation clinic, worked as a Research Assistant for the Center of Race, Immigration, Citizenship, and Equality, served as a board member on the Iranian Law Student Association, and was a staff editor on the Journal for Gender and Justice.
