Overview

Sahar Hashemian represents school districts and county offices of education in a wide range of special education law and student disability matters. Ms. Hashemian focuses her practice on disability accommodation, student discipline, due process claims, Section 504 complaints, and discrimination claims.

While attending UC Law San Francisco (formerly known as UC Hastings), Ms. Hashemian competed in the American Bar Association Mediation Competition on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, participated in the law school’s mediation clinic, and served as a research assistant for the Director of the Center for Race, Immigration, Citizenship, and Equality. Additionally, she served as a Board Member on the Iranian Law Student Association and as a staff editor on the Journal for Gender and Justice.

Prior to joining AALRR, Ms. Hashemian worked as a Legal Intern for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, Judicial Extern at the Department of Labor, and Law Clerk at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office.
