Overview

Rahi Azizi represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including negotiations in collective bargaining, labor relations, discrimination and harassment claims, defense of EEOC/CRD charges, leaves of absence issues, employee termination and discipline, grievances, workplace investigations, litigation, and workplace training. Mr. Azizi also advises public entities and their governing boards on various municipal and regulatory matters, including the Public Records Act, the Brown Act, conflicts of interest, preemption, and constitutional matters.

Prior to joining AALRR, Mr. Azizi served as a Deputy City Attorney for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. In that capacity, he prosecuted high-stakes civil enforcement actions and secured numerous favorable judgments and settlements. He also defended the City in writ proceedings, advised the City on a host of matters, and drafted proposed legislation. Mr. Azizi started his career as litigation associate at a nationwide law firm and represented large companies in labor and employment disputes.

In addition to his extensive trial court experience, Mr. Azizi has also done a considerable amount of appellate work and has drafted multiple winning appellate briefs.
