Overview
Douglas Yeoman possesses extensive legal experience providing advice and assistance to school districts and community college districts involving all aspects of public works projects, real property transactions, and energy conservation and renewable energy projects, including required environmental compliance. Mr. Yeoman regularly advises and provides assistance ranging from disputes which arise prior to the award of bid (e.g., bid protests, validity of bonds, etc.), through the duration of a public works project (e.g., issues involving prevailing wages, subcontractor disputes, stop notices, scope of work, substantial completion of a project, and assessment of liquidated damages).
Mr. Yeoman has negotiated, drafted, and handled hundreds of real property matters, including the acquisition and disposition of surplus real property, property exchanges, granting of easements and licenses, leases, joint-use agreements, joint occupancy agreements, and civic center use agreements. Mr. Yeoman is also a frequent speaker on a variety of relevant real property topics.
Mr. Yeoman has further assisted numerous public entities in implementing energy conservation service and renewable energy projects utilizing such technologies as photovoltaic, wind, geothermal, and hydrogen fuel cells.
