Overview

Sarah Kwon is a member of AALRR’s Education Law practice where she represents school districts throughout Southern California. Her expertise and experience are in advising on matters related to education law including investigations, disciplinary hearings and other school meetings and hearings. Ms. Kwon also has experience in civil litigation representing individuals and businesses.

Previously, Ms. Kwon worked for a plaintiff’s attorney firm as an advocate for parents and students for their education law concerns. She also previously represented parents in juvenile dependency proceedings as they navigated the process of retaining or regaining custody of their children. As a law student, Ms. Kwon helped students and parents with education law issues with the Youth Justice Education Clinic at Loyola Law School’s Center for Juvenile Law and Policy and was nominated for a 2021 Outstanding Clinical Student Award. She also participated in the Poehls-Hobbs District Attorney Practicum.
