Overview

Summer Vicknair represents California school districts and county offices of education in special education law and student disability matters. Ms. Vicknair provides interpretation and assessment of issues arising under the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. She handles IEP team meetings, resolution sessions, Section 504 meetings, and other matters.

Prior to practicing law, Ms. Vicknair was a high school and middle school Special Education and General Education teacher. In law school, Ms. Vicknair worked in the Special Education Clinic and Juvenile Advocacy Clinic while working as an intern for the Office of the Public Defender, Dependency Unit.
