Overview
S. Nicole Tucker handles a wide array of education and employment law matters for public school districts. Ms. Tucker specializes in labor negotiations, grievance arbitration, discrimination/harassment claims, leaves, and both employee and student discipline matters.
Ms. Tucker recognizes that there is often no “right” answer when tasked with making decisions in the public eye. She has guided school districts through challenging situations including work stoppages, anticipated labor strikes, classified and certificated layoffs, and complaints of all kinds. She advises school district clients on general counsel matters, ensuring compliance with the Brown Act, conflict of interest laws, and the Public Records Act.
Ms. Tucker is a dynamic presenter who has given presentations across California on a variety of topics, including employee progressive intervention and the FRISK model, K-12 and community college redistricting, the rise of financial sextortion, Title IX, UCP complaint investigations, and student discipline.
Prior to joining AALRR, Ms. Tucker worked in litigation representing K-12 and community college districts throughout California in various matters including employment discrimination, sexual abuse and molestation claims, and special education disputes.
