Workplace Violence and Harassment – Restraining Orders, Investigations and Managing those Issues
Under Kaiser Foundation Hospitals v. Wilson, hearsay is no longer a barrier to obtaining restraining orders and injunctions in the workplace. This decision improves a California public employer’s ability to obtain injunctions and restraining orders, which also may change the employer’s duty to do so and to investigate claims of workplace harassment. This session will explore when retraining orders are necessary, how and when to investigate claims of harassment and how to manage such issues.
