Peter Schaffert is a distinguished legal professional with a wealth of experience representing public sector employers in all facets of labor and employment law. Mr. Schaffert has proven expertise in navigating complex legal landscapes, providing strategic counsel, and achieving successful outcomes for his clients.

Mr. Schaffert specializes in labor negotiations, grievance arbitration, discrimination/harassment claims, employee terminations, discipline matters, leaves, workplace safety, and restraining orders. He also advises public sector employers on general counsel matters, ensuring compliance the Brown Act, conflict of interest laws, and the Public Records Act.

A notable focus of Mr. Schaffert's practice is Education law.  This includes guidance on education technology, CalPERS and CalSTRS regulations, Board Policy and Administrative Regulation updates, data sharing agreements, Uniform Complaint processing, data breach responses, and certificated and classified layoffs.
