Trump Selects Republican John Ring for the NLRB

On January 12, President Trump selected Republican John Ring to fill the vacancy created last month by Philip Miscimarra's departure from the five-member National Labor Relations Board. If Ring is confirmed by the Senate, the NLRB will have three Republican and two Democrat members.

Ring, a partner in the Washington D.C. office of law firm Morgan Lewis, represents management in employment and labor relations matters. During college and law school, Ring worked as a staff assistant for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
