Steady Growth at San Diego Law Firm Prompts Move

10.01.2012

SAN DIEGO, Calif. —Citing the need for more space to serve its expanding client base, the San Diego office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) has moved to Rancho Bernardo located in the heart of North County. At its new site, AALRR will occupy just over 6,000 square feet of space that will accommodate attorneys who focus on private employment law and litigation support to complement its education sector clients. The new address is 16870 West Bernardo Dr., Suite 330, San Diego, CA 92127.

“We’ve had our eye on moving to a bigger space for some time now and this particular location offers the right combination of client proximity and growth opportunities,” says  firm-wide Managing Partner James C. Romo. “It is a great way to wrap up this year and position ourselves well for 2013.”

Representing over 400 school districts, public and private universities, and other public entities statewide, the firm has extensive roots in the San Diego education community, providing services ranging from school construction/facility issues, special education and employment/labor matters.

In 1997, the firm opened its San Diego office with veteran attorney and office managing partner, Gerald A. Conradi, who began his career decades earlier as an attorney for the San Diego Unified School District. Conradi has been serving the San Diego educational community ever since.

“The majority of our colleagues have a long personal and professional history in this region,” Conradi explains. From handling complex client matters to teaching conflict resolution skills for elementary and middle school certificated staff, attorneys in the Rancho Bernardo office are busier than ever. “As involved community members, this is not just where we work, it is our home, and we take our commitment here seriously,” Conradi says.

For Romo, the firm’s commitment to the academic community extends to on-going professional education for clients on current and pressing issues. AALRR attorneys conduct nearly 500 breakfast briefings, seminars and annual education and employment-related conferences that draw thousands in attendance  throughout California. “Clients repeatedly tell us that our seminars are an essential component of their annual budget because their value is both in content and time efficiency,” he says.  “It is rewarding to see our clients utilize these resources on a regular basis. We hope to provide even more value to them in the years ahead,” Romo adds.
