AALRR’s Riverside Attorneys and Staff Treat First Responders to Lunch in Honor of 9/11

09.11.2017

On the sixteenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) joined forces with several other local businesses to participate in Riverside’s Citywide Day of Service in honor of the city’s first responders. The annual event, which kicked off at 9:11 a.m. with a message from the city’s mayor, featured day-long blood drives, CPR demos, community-wide clean-ups, and a number of free luncheons held to commemorate and thank the city’s fire and police personnel for their commitment to keeping residents safe.

Eight attorneys and staff members from AALRR’s Riverside office delivered lunch to Fire Stations 3, 5 and 14 and shared meals with the firefighters on duty. The event served over 600 firefighters and policemen. Over 300 residents have volunteered in previous years, and those numbers were expected to grow at this year’s Day of Service.

“As a firm, we’re honored to participate in an event that recognizes the hard work and dedication of some of our city’s finest public servants,” commented Mark Thompson, Co-Managing Partner of AALRR’s Riverside Office. “And as residents in the Riverside area, we are equally honored and thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside hundreds of our fellow community members in remembrance of all those first responders who lost their lives on this day sixteen years ago.”
