AALRR Attorney Kellie Christianson Argues at the California Supreme Court

10.17.2016

Kellie Christianson, a Senior Partner in Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo’s Irvine office, appeared before the California Supreme Court on October 5th on behalf of her long-term client Raceway Ford. Christianson shepherded the case through the trial court and the California Court of Appeal. Both courts ruled in her client’s favor. Although many companies retain special appellate counsel, Christianson’s client asked her to represent its interests at the highest court in California.

“I have counseled Raceway Ford for over a decade and understand the nuances of its business and its legal issues,” Christianson said. “The issue I argued last week is important. The Supreme Court will resolve a split of authority between two Courts of Appeal regarding the legality of back-dated, rewritten vehicle purchase contracts.”

Christianson represents car dealerships and small businesses in all aspects of employment and business litigation, including defending claims for wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, defamation, and unfair business practices. She also counsels clients regarding human resources and employee relations issues. In her 24-year legal career, Christianson has successfully represented clients at arbitrations, administrative hearings, trial courts, and appellate courts.
