AALRR Named 2016 Business of the Year by Regional Chamber of Commerce-San Gabriel Valley

The Regional Chamber of Commerce–San Gabriel Valley has honored Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) as Business of the Year. On November 17th, at an awards ceremony attended by State Senator Tony Mendoza, AALRR was recognized as “an exceptional leader in our business community that upholds a strong commitment to quality, community, and innovation.” AALRR was honored along with five other businesses serving the cities of Diamond Bar, Walnut, Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, Avocado Heights, Bassett, Valinda, and La Puente. Anthony Duarte, CEO of The Regional Chamber of Commerce-San Gabriel Valley, declared: “We applaud these businesses that continue to build a strong local economy and continue creating jobs in our community.” more

Eve Peek Fichtner Rejoins AALRR’s Sacramento Office

Eve Peek Fichtner returned to Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo today. She is working in our Sacramento office as a partner in the Northern California Education Law Practice Group. Ms. Fichtner spent several years as a partner at another firm and was recently recognized in Sacramento Magazine’s Top Lawyers list. more

AALRR Partner Paul Loya Inducted into ACHRO/EEO Hall of Fame

Paul Loya, a partner at Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR), was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Association of Chief Human Resource Officers/Equal Employment Officers (ACHRO/EEO). The award is given to individuals who have made a significant impact on human resource professionals in the California community college system and furthered the cause of ACHRO/EEO. Loya is one of only four people to ever receive this honor. more

AALRR Attorney Kellie Christianson Argues at the California Supreme Court

Kellie Christianson, a Senior Partner in Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo’s Irvine office, appeared before the California Supreme Court on October 5th on behalf of her long-term client Raceway Ford. Christianson shepherded the case through the trial court and the California Court of Appeal. Both courts ruled in her client’s favor. Although many companies retain special appellate counsel, Christianson’s client asked her to represent its interests at the highest court in California. more
