AALRR Hosts Two-Day Administrative Hearing Academy for its Associates

On August 3 and 4, Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo’s (AALRR’s) Cerritos office became the training grounds for nineteen of its associates as the firm hosted its second Trial Academy. Last year’s program focused on jury trials; this year’s program focuses on administrative hearings. more

AALRR Attorneys to Present at Major Conferences and Workshops This Summer

Three Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) attorneys have been selected to speak at upcoming events focused on issues critical for the State of California. David Boyer will present at Law Seminars International’s Comprehensive Conference on Sustainable Groundwater Planning in California on July 11, while Kevin Dale and John Dietrich will present at the California Special Districts Association’s Understanding the Brown Act workshops on August 16, August 23, and August 30. more

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) Partner Thomas Lenz appeared on KALW-FM San Francisco’s “Your Legal Rights” radio show on June 14th to discuss a number of “Hot Topics” related to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Hosted by Chuck Finney, a deputy district attorney in San Mateo, “Your Legal Rights” is broadcast statewide on public radio and available to download as a free podcast on iTunes and other subscription services. more

AALRR Partner Thomas Lenz Appointed Chair of California Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to announce the appointment of partner Thomas Lenz to the position of Chair of the California Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section. His term will begin in September 2017 and will last one year. Mr. Lenz currently serves as the Committee’s Vice Chair and served as its Secretary for the 2015-2016 term. more

Super Lawyers Recognizes Seven AALRR Attorneys as Rising Stars

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is pleased to announce that seven firm attorneys have been selected to the 2017 Southern California Rising Stars list, which spotlights exceptional attorneys aged 40 and younger or those in practice for 10 years or less. The list is compiled annually by Super Lawyers, a national ratings service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. The selection process includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. No more than 2.5% of attorneys in the state are selected, making the designation a prestigious honor. more
